Villa Arconati – Milan (Italy)

Among the most beautiful and majestic villas of pleasure in Milan, Villa Arconati is a heritage site of great historical, cultural, and architectural value. The villa—which, along with its gardens, is now home to the Augusto Rancilio Foundation – is located in the Groane Park, in the hamlet of Castellazzo di Bollate, next to a rural hamlet and the church of San Guglielmo.

Considered an Italian reinterpretation of Louis XIV’s Versailles, the current structure of the noble villa was completed by the Arconati family in the 18th century. It embodies the attention to detail and elegance of Lombard Baroque, applied to the previous 17th-century residence.
